Meet Jaelene - Founder of Sugar by Jae
My journey with body sugaring began back in 2010 at one of Winnipeg’s first and most well-known sugaring salons. While completing my degree in Conflict Resolution at the The University of Winnipeg, I fell in love with the art of sugaring and the confidence it gave clients. I pursued professional training and earned certifications with Sugar of the Nile and MC College for hair removal.
After completing my degree, I decided to invest in my skills and passion by starting my own sugaring business in Winnipeg. Over the course of five years, I built my salon into a thriving and trusted business with a loyal client base.
Like many small business owners, COVID-19 brought unexpected challenges, and with the arrival of my daughter, I made the difficult decision to step away and close my salon to focus on family.
Now, I’m excited to be returning to what I love most and reopening my sugaring business inside BLUSH on St. Anne’s Road in Winnipeg.
Body sugaring has always been my passion, and I’m grateful to once again offer this natural, gentle form of hair removal in a beautiful new space where clients can feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
